The Backbone of Operations

Fire department operations extend beyond emergency response. Administrative members play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth functioning of the department by handling behind-the-scenes work.

Though they may not be directly involved in frontline emergency calls, administrative members’ contributions are essential for setting the stage for the fire department’s success.

Member Roles

As an administrative member, your contributions are just as important as those of our emergency responders.

  • Administrative Support: Handling paperwork, managing schedules, and maintaining records.
  • Public Relations, Marketing, and Community Outreach: Managing social media and organizing community events and educational programs.
  • Fundraising: Securing funds through grants, donations, and fundraising events.

  • Equipment and Facility Maintenance: Ensuring equipment is functional and facilities are well-maintained.

  • Logistics and Supply Management: Managing inventory, ordering supplies, and coordinating logistics.

  • IT and Communications Support: Managing technology infrastructure and communications systems.

  • Financial Management: Overseeing budgets, accounting, and financial reporting.

  • Human Resources: Managing recruitment, training, and personnel records.

  • Historical Preservation: Maintaining the history and heritage of the fire department and museum.

  • Fire Safety: Visiting local schools and providing children with fire safety and prevention education, tools, and more.
