Member Roles
Interior Firefighter
Interior firefighters undergo specialized training that enables them to wear specific personal protective equipment, including special breathing gear, and enter a hazardous structure under life-threatening conditions.
Exterior Firefighter
Exterior firefighters wear specific personal protective equipment, including fire-resistant clothing, and assist with various tasks around the fire ground, excluding entering hazardous structures. Exterior firefighters do not wear any specialized breathing equipment. New firefighters often begin their journey as exterior firefighters and progress to interior firefighters after receiving additional training.
